After six years as an estimator, Project Manager, and ultimately Vice President with Kraushaar Construction, Curt founded Christofferson Commercial Builders, Inc. in March, 1987.  Starting out as a small interior finish contractor in Colorado Springs, he developed the company into a nationally well respected commercial contractor licensed in seventeen states, with offices in Colorado Springs, CO and Austin, TX. The company is comprised of twenty construction professionals with very diverse backgrounds and experience, and many of the employees having twenty years or more with the company. Christofferson Commercial Builders has successfully completed a broad range of food service, commercial, retail, office, industrial and educational projects, and has developed many long term national account relationships along the way.     Significant Accomplishments of Christofferson Commercial Builders:    

 - Multiple Contractor of the Year awards from numerous national companies

 - Restoration and addition of Conservatory to the Briarhurst Manor, a historic building in Manitou Springs, CO, earned the Company recognition from the Manitou Springs Historic Preservation Commission, receiving the Preservation Honor Award.
- As one of many repeat clients, Christofferson has constructed or expanded 300+ McDonald’s Restaurants, repeatedly winning awards from McDonald’s Corporation for best construction time and consistent quality of construction.
- The company has an average annual construction volume of $30 million.
- The company’s strong safety record is evidenced by no lost time accidents since its founding in 1987.
- Consistently throughout the years has donated money, time and construction skills for building projects to various non-profits such as Ronald McDonald House, Urban Peak, Habitat for Humanity, etc.

The company is now in it's second generation with Curt's son and daughter now running the helm, taking the company into a bright and strong future.
